The party was thrown by THE TARTS OF PLEASURE and in addition to the Tarts and DJ jazzy iha djing, there was DJ VICAR. Short review snippet by Sarah (DJ): Wednesday night the tarts had our second stolen transmission party. There was that play off game that we had to play nice to, leaving DJ Vicar waiting patiently to he could play the Pixies and Bloc Party and other shit that Karen and I have been imposing on him for the past few weeks. After Vicar, DJ Jazzy James Iha took on the fine roll of getting kids to dance to discotheque. Ruling the airwaves like it was 1992, I was hoping he'd play some Ace of Base, but alas, that didnt happen. Past Event Information James Iha of Smashing Pumpkins / 2hrs Open Bar Oct 20, 2004 This Wednesday Oct 20 at Snitch, The Tarts of Pleasure Presents the First Official Stolen Transmission Party with guest DJ James Iha of Smashing Pumpkins. To mark this auspicious occasion, there will be a two-hour Open Bar (selected vodka & beers will be free from 10pm 'til Midnight. And, of course, The Tarts of Pleasure (a.k.a. Ultragrrrl & KarenPlusOne) will be be DJing '80s, new wave, punk, electro and rock'n'roll. Snitch 59 W. 21 St. bet 5 and 6 Aves. Snitch is a new rock'n'roll bar/club owned by Scott Weiland of Velvet Revolver/Stone Temple Pilots, Brett Scallion from Fuel, and Duff McKagan from Guns and Roses/Velvet Revolver.
