Terminal Five Party
September 11, 2004, 11:00 pm

Sep 12: The worlds of fashion and art bumped hips as Hint joined Colette for a Fashion Week f?te in honor of Terminal 5, the art extravaganza that will bring to life the interior of the seminal but abandoned Eero Saarinen-designed wing of JFK airport before it's handed over to Jet Blue in January. Buzzing about inside Bumble & Bumble's new Meatpacking flagship were Colette's own Sarah and mom Colette, Jeremy Scott, Jeffrey Deitch, Casey Spooner (we're told the next FischerSpooner CD will roll into stores come February), Proenza Shouler's Jack McCollough, French actress Elodie Bouchez, Vogue Homme International's Richard Buckley, Benjamin Cho, Alix Browne, taking a well-deserved breather following her departure from V mag, and Andy Salzer, whose headlining Yoko Devereaux men's collection shown just prior brought the house down. A special live performance by Nouvelle Vague, imported from Paris for the evening by the fine folks at Le Sportsac, and DJ sets by Michel Gaubert and Headbangirl kept the knees up until time came to march over to the apr?s-party at Pop Burger. There, the brave counter girls struggled to sate the appetites of the likes of Matt Damhave, As Four, Leo Fitzpatrick, the Another magazine crew, DJs Dimitri from Paris and Tommie Sunshine, and James Iha, formerly of Smashing Pumpkins, who tore through the booze-absorbing mini-burgers and french fries like there was no tomorrow. For many, there still hasn't been.
