Source: Billboard Harris, Colvin, Finns Whistle 'Dixie' Shawn Colvin, Emmylou Harris and the Finn Brothers are among the artists featured on the "Because of Winn-Dixie" soundtrack, due Feb. 1 via Nettwerk. On the soundtrack, Scratchie Records co-founders Adam Schlesinger and A Perfect Circle guitarist James Iha team up for a cover version of Bobby Darin's "Splish Splash." Leigh Nash, former lead singer of Sixpence None The Richer, contributes "I've Got To See You Smile." In addition, the collection features three instrumental score tracks from Academy Award-winning composer Rachel Portman as well as the gospel track "Glory Glory by Patrinell Wright and Gloria Smith. That cut was produced by Dave Matthews, who has a supporting role in the film. "Because of Winn-Dixie" opens Feb. 15 in U.S. theaters. Based on Kate DiCamilo's book of the same name, the movie is about a lonely 10-year-old girl named India "Opal" Buloni who befriends a stray dog she names Winn-Dixie. Jeff Daniels, Cicely Tyson and Annasophia Robb are among the film's stars, while musician Dave Matthews has a supporting role.
