Ingress: Shrouded in secrecy, a new multinational group has emerged, including two Swedes and James Iha, once of the Smashing Pumpkins. Article: The new band, Vanessa and the O's, have now released their debut EP with very little fuss. Niclas Frisk and Andreas Mattsson, more well known as songwriters since their chart-topping days with the band Atomic Swing in the early nineties, are back in harness - with two very special partners. James Iha was guitarist for one of the most influential groups of the nineties, The Smashing Pumpkins. He met Niclas in New York and soon joined up. The quartet is completed by French vocalist Vanessa Quines. Niclas calls the band's music "monotonus but beautiful", and names the Velvet Underground as chief influences.  Source: Svensk Music |
