08 April 2005 New records from former B&S singer Former Belle & Sebastian singer Isobel Campbell is set to release two new albums in the coming months. Billboard reports that 'Ballad of the Broken Seas' is a collaboration between Campbell and Mark Lanegan, and is described as being in the vein of Nancy Sinatra and Lee Hazlewood's albums from the 1960s. The second record, 'Over the Wheat and Barley', finds Campbell working with former Smashing Pumpkins guitarist James Iha and is described as having a more folk-oriented sound. Campbell is negotiating with a number of labels for the records' release. She has also recorded three songs for an EP with The Vaselines' Eugene Kelly, one of which features Iha.
